Quebec WeatherQuebec is a relatively flat province allowing air masses to roam freely over the province, therefore weather is very changeable. In the winter, cold dry air sweeps in from the west. Ocean winds from the Gulf of Mexico often bring humid heat waves in summer. When these air masses meet, they may produce severe storms. In winter, the meeting of moist and cold air masses brings a large snowfall to the whole province. The climate is much colder in the north than in the south. In January, low temperatures in the north may average -25 degrees Celsius, compared to -9 degrees Celsius in the south where most of the people live. In the summer months temperatures are usually in the mid to high 20's.
